Using Autodesk Revit, students must create and design a house to fit the principals of Habitat for Humanity. Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that helps people in communities and worldwide, build or improve houses. Sketch multiple houses to gain ideas.
Create a final sketch that includes dimensions.
The house should be furnished completely.
An exterior color scheme should be included.
The house should be placed on a site plan.
The storm runoff difference should be as low as possible.
The house should be very energy efficient.
A Two bedroom house can have an area of no more than 900 square feet.
It has to have a ramp for wheelchair accessibility.
At least a 5-foot diameter circle of space in the bathroom.
A fridge, sink, and stovetop are required for a functioning kitchen.
The house must have a foundation.
Different views, as well as renders, should be presented on Revit sheets.
Houses must have a roof, gutter, and fascia.
The site plan must include a driveway.
The house is a two-bedroom 1, one-bathroom layout with a full kitchen, closets, and a living room.
The house fit all building codes and met all HFH requirements
The hardest part of this project was deciding on the right color scheme for the house. Brick with off-white vinyl panels was the solution, and it worked well for the exterior.
